For many people a wedding is a very religious ceremony, although it may seem that wedding insurance has less to do with religion and more to do with the evils of money.

But cynicism apart it may certainly be the case that if God moves, he moves in mysterious ways. Certainly for Jim and Sarah God’s movements on their wedding day were a little less than mysterious and rather more frustrating.

Having booked their wedding to take place at the local village church they were looking forward to a fairy tale day. The night before, however, hurricane winds ripped through the village and blew the 50 foot high pine tree next to the church straight through the church roof.

Postpone or Re-Arrange?

As a result Jim and Sarah had to decide whether to postpone their wedding until the church roof could be repaired, which could take a very great deal of time, or re-arrange the entire wedding at an alternative location. In either case they were looking at a significant cost.

Or at least they would have looked at a significant cost were it not for the fact that they had a good wedding insurance policy in place. If you’re planning on getting married then you might want to do one of two things. Either cut down all the trees within a 50 foot radius of your wedding venue, or take out a decent wedding insurance policy – which ever you think is easier.
